News & Events
On May 11, 2024, at the Seddwell Center in Graz, a collaborative presentation was held to raise awareness about the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Sudan. With the support of the Seddwell Center and Sudanese students in Graz, we highlighted the resilience of women and youth amidst war-torn conditions.
The event showcased the powerful stories of survival, focusing on the critical roles these groups play in sustaining communities during times of conflict. Through this initiative, we aim to shine a light on the immense challenges Sudan faces while encouraging global action and support.
We are proud to share our collaboration with artist Lenka Holíková at the Graz Museum, where her work LONGINGS was exhibited from June to August 2024. The project, developed in cooperation with the Graz Museum and local contributors Zainab and Mohamed, focused on the stories of forced migration and the struggles faced by Sudanese people.
Through their discussions, the artwork became a poignant representation of the daily realities of war and displacement, highlighting the collective hope for a peaceful and stable Sudan.

Participation at
Rössel Markt by BASE Graz – September 21, 2024
We are thrilled to have taken part in the Rössel Markt, organized by BASE Graz, with the support of the small Sudanese community, Arab women, and the local Graz community. This successful event allowed us to:
- Raise awareness about the humanitarian crisis in Sudan following the war.
- Share Sudanese culture through traditional perfumes and dishes such as agashe, peanut salad, and hibiscus juice.
- Donate proceeds from sales and contributions to support the education of Sudanese students.
A heartfelt thank you to BASE Graz for making this event a success and for their continued support in bringing communities together for meaningful causes.
